See Pending Debit Card Transactions on Web Branch

Starting today, you are able to see your pending debit card transactions on Web Branch. When you look at your checking account history, transactions you've made, but have yet to post to your account, will appear at the top of your history.

These items will have the word Authorized under the category column. You'll be able to assign a real category (or one will auto-assign) when the actual transaction posts to your account in 1-2 business days. The latest date the authorization will expire is next to the description of the transaction (it could expire sooner).

The authorized transactions amounts will be taken out of your available balance so you'll have a better sense of how much money you actually have. You can see this in the balance column. In the future, we'll add additional pending items like transfers and Web Payments to this area to provide additional insight into your "true balance."

If you don't like this feature, it can be easily hidden by clicking on the X in the top right of the pending items section.

  4. This site is, by far, the best banking site that I've experienced, and this feature makes it even better.

    A nice compliment to this feature would be the ability to add checks that we've written as pending transactions. That way we would get an even clearer picture of how much money is available.

    Your idea for adding your own pending items is on the list to be developed. We hope to be able to offer it later this year or early next year.

  6. Could there be a way for us to add or include amounts pending when we have to write a check at a business that is not set up to take debit cards. I check my account every day, but sometimes forget what checks might be outstanding. In these economic times, every penny and where it's going counts. I love this feature on the UWCU website. You are always so responsive to members and that is why I continue to stay with UWCU.

  7. As I stated earlier, we are working on adding the ability to enter your own items (like checks you write) to be included in the pending area.

    We will also will show items we already know about you like upcoming transfers and Web Payments (including paper checks the system generated but haven't cleared your account yet). We'll also let you put in your own recurring items like bills you pay or your paycheck to better estimate your future balances.

    We are beginning this work now and are really excited to bring this enhancement to Web Branch later this year.
