Improved Search in Account History

We now have over two and a half years of checking account history available on Web Branch (some accounts types have even more). With all that history available online, we wanted our search to work even better so you can find the transactions you are looking for.

In the past, if you typed in the main search box on the account history page, we searched the description field only. Now, we are much smarter in how we use the default (simple) search. We search the following fields:
  • Amount, (positive or negative, only exact matches)
  • Check Number (only exact matches)
  • Category (partial matches included)
  • Labels (partial matches included)
  • Notes (partial matches included)
Prior to this enhancement, you had to go to the advanced search to trigger some of these searches. Advanced search is still available if you want to search on a combination of fields at the same time. In addition, pay attention to the "auto-complete" options that appear as you type as they can be useful. However, for many, the improved simple search will go a long way to helping you find what you are looking for.
