New Web Branch Log In Page

New Desktop Log In Page
As the final step in the new Web Branch roll-out process, we are introducing a new log in page. The new page is fully responsive--just like the rest of Web Branch--meaning it will work equally well on all devices, screen sizes and platforms.

The new log in page will go live on February 25. At that time, the old Web Branch user interface will be retired. Based on member feedback, we have made a lot of improvements to the new Web Branch over the last few months. See my previous post for a list of those improvements.

We continue to make minor updates and bug fixes to Web Branch on a weekly basis. We are targeting June for our first release where we will introduce new functionality and enhancements.

  1. Taking down the mobile branch during business hours shows up as poor customer service. Simply displaying "Try again later" portrays a disregard for your members I find troubling.

    1. We never intentionally take down Web Branch during business hours. We maintain over 99.9% up-time. Occasionally, there can be issues where something occurs causing Web Branch to become temporarily unavailable. When that happens, it is our first priority to resolve the issue.

Because of the newness of the new log in page, we may not have all our error messages up to our standards. We will look at our messages to ensure they are informative. I apologize for the inconvenience.

  2. well the new page (look, feel, user-ease) is two steps backwards. the last time you change the web page it was the worst UWCU did the same thing. heck I stopped using UWCU for almost 2 years. So why change it agan when you finally get it working correctly. I think the very first web page design UWCU has was really good, simple yet effective.

  3. I have tried most of the day to use Money Link to pay my rent to my landlord who is a member. I was able to do it past 2 month with no issues but I keep getting a message Web Branch is not available. This is very irritating as I do not want my payment to be late!

  5. The new UWCU web page is OK. The look is more up-to-date but the functionality seems not much better than the previous iteration. Everything is there but often in different places or under different tabs. I have found all the tools I normally use but it took a bit of searching.
Change for change sake is not always helpful.

  6. Functionality wise....troubling. And a simple feature, like sorting you account summary page, being able to move whatever account you want on the first position, or second position, isn't there. Not sure this was much of a user improvement, more so, it was a project fulfilled by the web team.

  7. For the last two days I too have been unable to log in from my iPhone. I get a page not found error when I try to use the mobile app. Nothing changed on my end. But I know, I know, I should call so you guys can look at my profile and assist me in logging in.

  8. The https://webbranch.uwcu.org/MoneyLink/ link no longer works. So, the person trying to send me money can not log in. This is a problem.

    1. The correct URL is:
      https://secure.uwcu.org/MoneyLink/

With the new Web Branch, a few things were moved around. Unfortunately, the Web Branch URL could not be redirected to the correct site since the page now exists within Web Branch.

  9. The "mobile app" sucks. you can log in but when you try to see your activities, it just keeps loading and never evet shows. or when trying to do mobile deposit, it doesnt work like it used to. Try making a real app and stop call this one a mobile app bc it is not, it only directs users to a weblink. its quite frustrating after the change. it worked on my android htc, now the "app" is garbage.

    1. More constructive feedback is welcomed so we can continue to improve Web Branch. Please contact us and we can look at your specific device and browser to determine what might be going on. In general, on Android, it is best to use the latest version of Chrome your phone supports. The "imbedded" browser on some versions of Android can be problematic.

We made no changes to our app when rolling out the new Web Branch. So it is an incorrect assumption to tie your experience with the app to the new Web Branch. We do have plans to improve the app later this year. Please stay tuned.
